The Regional Business Council launched the Young Professionals Network in 2008 to attract, retain and develop a highly-skilled diverse workforce in the St. Louis region by providing valuable opportunities for networking, professional development and community involvement. As a forum for building lasting connections, sharing big ideas and supporting the future of the St. Louis region, YPN Membership is a network of more than 3,500 diverse professionals between the ages of 21-40 representing over 700 companies.
Members have the opportunity to attend social, philanthropic, cultural and professional development events throughout the year and serve on various committees focused on engagement within the group and the St. Louis community. This complimentary membership is made possible by the generous sponsorships of the following companies:

Each year, 100 young professionals are recognized from the general membership to be a part of the YPN Leadership 100 cohort because of their demonstrated leadership and service to the community. This cohort is provided unique professional, cultural and community service opportunities that offer unique experiences and engagement in St. Louis.
Steering Committee
The YPN Steering Committee maintains a focus on general membership interests, while staying strategically connected to RBC members, partners and community organizations. Steering Committee members are nominated by Leadership 100 members and RBC members. The Steering Committee meets quarterly to provide advice and decision making regarding the entire network.
In 2016 the Steering Committee members developed YPN’s Strategic Initiatives. To find out more about how you can become involved, contact us.
St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative
SLBDI Fellows Program is designed to address the interests and challenges of professionals of color as they work to develop and advance their careers. This is a program for which a participant must be nominated. The RBC sponsors two participants each program year and partners with the program to provide YPN members with quarterly professional development sessions.
Human Resources Directors’ Forum is an opportunity for RBC companies’ HR Directors and YPN HR executives to attend convened meetings that provide an exchange of best practices and updates on resources open to the local business community.
